How do I start a game?
Choose a card labelled Playable or Playable now, then press Play. A card marked Coming soon is a concept in the library, not a playable game. The game dialog shows its controls.
Controls
- Snake Evolution: arrow keys or WASD; use the on-screen direction pad on a phone.
- 2048 Merge: arrow keys or swipe the board.
- Memory Match, Tic-Tac-Toe, Connect Four, Minesweeper: tap or click the board.
- Brick Breaker and Pong: pointer/touch, arrow keys, and on-screen controls.
- Space Defender: A/D or left/right arrows, Space to shoot, or touch buttons.
- Maze Escape: arrow keys or WASD; on-screen direction buttons are also available.
Do I need an account?
No account is required to browse or play the local mini-games. Signing in is used for the player profile, syncing recent games and favourites through Firestore, and online multiplayer.
Why does Google sign-in fail?
Check that Google is enabled in Firebase Authentication, that Email/Password is enabled if you are using it, and that the domain is listed under Authentication → Settings → Authorised domains. For auth/api-key-not-valid, copy the Web App configuration from Firebase Console → Project settings → General → Your apps into frontend/js/config.js. Do not create a random key.
Why doesn't multiplayer connect?
The website requires the separate Node.js Socket.IO server to be deployed with Firebase Admin credentials. Until the HTTPS backend URL is placed in frontend/js/config.js, online rooms and Quick Match intentionally show a configuration message. The Starter hosting plan may only serve the static frontend; verify WebSocket support before deploying the backend there.
Why is a room waiting?
Quick Match waits for another authenticated player in the same game and region. It does not silently use a bot. In a private room, share the room code, ensure both people are connected and marked ready, then the host starts the match.
Where can I report a bug?
Use the Contact page. Include the game name, device, browser, and steps to reproduce the issue. Never share your password or sign-in code.
